Jim's own design, a 33' sloop named "Sandpiper", winner of every race entered on SF Bay in the 1960s, with Jim at the helm. Jim raced Sandpiper with his son, Steve, and crew to Hawaii in a very light Transpac. The bigger boats beat them. Can't win 'em all! All DeWitt Giclees are first generation prints, sourced directly from the original and fine-tuned by Jay Daniel of Black Cat Studio in Novato, California. Jay has been Jim's only authorized Giclee printer since 1988. They are the best possible reproduction of Jim's vibrant, colorful, action-oriented artwork. Each Giclee is quality checked and authenticated with an embossed signature and a Certificate of Authenticity is included. The image is printed on 120 lb. museum quality paper and reduced to allow for a minimum 1" border. Finished image dimensions depend on the aspect ratio of the original.
